The centre has both wet and dry changing rooms, with separate facilities for male and female swimmers.
For most sessions, you’ll be able to use the wet changing rooms, which have direct access onto poolside.
Occasionally, depending other pool users, the dry changing rooms may be used.
I will always confirm the arrangements with you in advance, so you know exactly where to go.

Many adult swimmers find that traditional lessons focus on swimming lengths, pace and group progression.
These sessions take a different approach.
They are designed specifically for adults who may feel nervous, unsure, or stuck when swimming. The focus is on understanding the water, improving the breathing and technique, and building confidence in a calm, supportive environment.
There is no pressure to keep up, no expectation to perform, and no one size fits all structure, just space to progress in a way that feels comfortable for you.
It’s not about how far you can swim, it’s about how it feels while you are doing it.
-
You’ll be guided on where to go in advance. On arrival, you can change at your own pace, and I will begin the session calmly with a brief introduction to help you feel at ease.
-
Sessions are calm and structured, focusing on:
• Building confidence in the water
• Improving breathing and technique
• Developing a more relaxed, controlled approach
Everything is introduced gradually, at your own pace.
-
To help you feel comfortable and get the most out of your session, we recommend bringing:
• A towel
• A pair of flip-flops for poolside comfort and hygiene
• A pair of swimming goggles (recommended for comfort and visibility—AquaSphere are a good option)
• A swimming cap (optional, but can be helpful for keeping hair out of your face)
If you’re unsure about anything, please don’t worry, just bring what you have, and I will guide you from there.
-
Each session is 45 minutes are in small groups, allowing for individual guidance while maintaining a relaxed and supportive environment.

There’s no set level required. These sessions are suitable for adults who may feel nervous in the water, as well as those who can swim but don’t feel comfortable or confident.
